    I first started mountain biking 30 years ago when I was riding for a local shop called Stoddys Cycles riding near Danbury in Essex and just got the bug, riding in places like New Zealand and Canada kept me going looking for the next challenge.

    Have you always been into fitness?

    Yes.

    Why MTB?

    Because I find every ride is a challenge, keeping my mind active making trails up, I’ve made over 500 Strava sections to challenge every ride I do off-road.

    Best Triathlon achievement so far?

    4 times back to back regional champion 2015

    What are you ambitions for 2015 and beyond?

    Back to top 5 in the country. 5th Regional title. Top 10 at National Champs.

    Flew in a Helicopter over MT Cook in New Zealand

    Can you describe the feeling when you won a race or made a great improvement/achievement in your sport?

    Top of the world winning regional champs this year. Chased 1sec off per lap to put 15sec in to win on last lap, the best feeling like when I married my lovely wife Sue of my three boys.

    What are you top three sport nutrition tips?

    1. Avoid all sugers and processed food
    2. High Gi and Low Gi focus before n after exercise
    3. Drink lots water gives you energy

    What are your top three training tips?

    1. Be disciplined , have focused training sessions
    2. Have rest days
    3. Believe in yourself

    Why do you use Beet It and how has it helped you?

    I find particularly as you get older it really help my endurance keeping me going strong the end of a race.

    How important to you is it that it is all natural?

    Because it does absorbs better into the system and does not upset the stomach as no additives.

     

    How do you incorporate Beet it into your training and race preparation?

    I have a beet it shot the night before a race then another 1.5/2 hrs before the race.
